A Challenge in our Community

Without a checking account, the most basic financial tool, unbanked families are hard-pressed to build savings and assets, and to respond to emergencies.

About the Classes

For a Bank On certification and the opportunity to set up a checking account, program participants must complete three financial education (online) modules totaling three to five hours.

What we Offer

Through Bank On, it’s a simple process for individuals in our community to get connected to low-cost, starter checking, savings and loan accounts.

Let’s Take Back 10!

The average unbanked individual spends 10 percent of his or her net income on alternative financial services.
Bank On Idaho works to improve the financial health of our community by reducing the number of unbanked and underbanked individuals.
Our objectives are:
1. Provide quality financial education to Bank On participants to help them save for the future and make informed decisions about managing their money.
2. Increase the supply and availability of low-cost starter account products for the low- and middle-income, unbanked community in the Treasure Valley.
3. Promote the use of traditional banking services and account ownership.
4. Provide a “second chance” for those with previous banking issues.
